Magnetization history began much earlier with the ancient civilizations in Asia. There are regions in asia called Magnesia in which stones were discovered engaged each other attractive. These stones are called "magnet".

Magnets have two poles, namely:
- North pole
- South pole

Orbit motion and spin motion of electrons in atoms create magnetic fields.
Combination of the two magnetic fields can mutually strengthen or weaken each other and
produces a magnetic field of the atom.
